Innovations With kids

Imagine if you started building your professional portfolio at the age of eight. Vivita helps kids do this. We put untainted young minds at the center of building a future society that will be run by them.
Children are seldom included in design, innovation, and decision-making. Dismissing them as unequipped for worthy contribution is a major misfire by adults. Kids' creativity is limitless. They have organisational and collaboration skills unencumbered by what is "fit and proper". They aren't shackled by norms, structures, heirarchies, or other artificial constructs. All of which are things that grown-ups struggle to unlearn.

As a kid-centric innovation consultancy, we help public and private organisations, corporations, and startups fix real problems and create mindful and inclusive causes, products, and services.

Design Process

We use a six‑step methodology that helps young people find their way in the design process, each step gives playful and creativity‑boosting tools, it guides them from understanding the problem through to developing a real prototype that can be tried out and shared.
DISCOVER – Getting to know the problem and doing first research
FEEL – A deeper look at what the problem really is
FOCUS – Choosing a clear direction toward a solution
IMAGINE – Coming up with various solution ideas
PLAY – Trying out and testing the ideas
SHARE – Showing and sharing the solutions with others

Design Sprint

We use the Vivita Design Sprint as one of our key methods for involving children in creative work. It is a child-friendly workshop series that guides participants from defining a problem to creating a prototype. The Design Sprint offers a unique approach tailored to the needs of each client and actively involves children throughout the design process. Each step of the sprint is supported by specially developed tools, including worksheets, notebooks, and design thinking games. If needed, we also create custom tools based on the project’s theme to ensure smooth and productive collaboration with young designers.

Want to bring this approach to your team or classroom?
You can also purchase our card game based on the design process, created to spark creativity and make learning fun.
